At Bliss Dental, we have spent months reviewing everything we do in great detail. We want to assure our patients that dental treatment at our practice will be carried out with the safety of all of our patients and team members as our most important priority.
Dr Jeremy Bliss is a founding member and director of a group of independent dentists called Pandora Dental, which has working tirelessly to research and implement global referencing on safe standards of procedure. We are proud to have created a “gold standard” of safety and patient care to be effective against Covid-19. These measures are still in place.

Clean Air Systems
We have invested in high quality, modern clean air technology in every room – this will ensure there is clean and purified air in our practice. The machines remove 99.99% of respiratory viruses including Coronavirus.

Health & Wellbeing Check
We will ask you a few questions about your medical history, how you feel and if your family members have been well. We want to provide dental care for our patients when it is safe to do so. However, with careful diary management, we are prepared for everyone; including the elderly and those with more a complex medical history.
Virtual Consultations
We can do new patient video consultations so that we can answer many of your questions even before you visit us. The first 15 minutes are free.

Surface Disinfection
After extensive research, we have chosen Salvesen (www.aqualution.co.uk) as our surface disinfectant. It is proven to kill all germs by 99.99% within minutes. It is effective against Coronavirus and it is environmentally safe.
PPE
We wear masks, gowns or aprons where appropriate, visors, goggles, hats, handwashing soaps, etc. We will be well prepared for your dental treatment.
Rubber Dam
This is colloquially known as a ‘tooth raincoat’. It is a sheet of rubber which can isolate a tooth or group of teeth – we will use this whenever possible. This is used for patient safety during dental procedures, especially root canal treatment, but can also be used in filling procedures and cementation of adhesive inlays/onlays. This will make treatment safe and comfortable.
Clutter-free Environment
Our environment will be even more clutter-free. Our staff and cleaners will, therefore, be able to keep surfaces clean and disinfected.

Viewing our sterilisation procedures
At Bliss Dental we are proud that instead of just complying with the CQC standards, we have implemented 'Best Practice' as laid out in the Dept of Health HTM-01-05 guidelines. We are very happy for patients to request sight of our procedures (by appointment only).
